Scholarships for Pakistan to Study in Oxford UK 2016

The Vicky Noon Educational Foundation is offering scholarships for Pakistani students to pursue full or part-time undergraduate and master’s or DPhil course at the University of Oxford. The size and duration of awards vary according to each scholar’s circumstances. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, financial need and the potential social contribution made by the applicant on their return to Pakistan.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in all subjects offered by the Oxford University.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full or part-time undergraduate and master’s or DPhil course at Oxford.

Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration for this scholarship, applicants must be successful in being offered a place on their course after consideration of applications received by the relevant deadline for the course.
-Student must be applying to start a new full- or part-time undergraduate, master’s or DPhil course at Oxford.
-Student must be a national of and ordinarily resident in Pakistan. You should be intending to return to Pakistan once your course is completed. If you have previously studied outside Pakistan you will not normally be considered.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Pakistani students can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: The Vicky Noon Educational Foundation Oxford Scholarships fund talented Pakistani students to study any subject at the University of Oxford. The Vicky Noon Educational Foundation was established in 1992 by Lady Viqarunnissa Noon, the distinguished social worker and wife of the seventh Prime Minister of Pakistan Feroz Khan Noon. The scholarships at Oxford are funded by the Foundation, the University and a number of generous partners.
Number of award(s): Up to 2 scholarships are awarded for graduate students.
Duration of award(s): The size and duration of awards vary according to each scholar’s circumstances.
What does it cover? In recent years these have ranged from partial awards (for example, a contribution of £3,000) to fully-funded scholarships (covering all fees and living costs).
Selection Criteria: Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, financial need and the potential social contribution made by the applicant on their return to Pakistan.
Notification: Decisions are expected to be made around July 2016. If you have not heard from by the time the university’s webpage is updated to say that successful applicants have been notified, then please assume that your application has been unsuccessful.  Due to the volume of applications they receive, they regret that they are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants individually or provide feedback on applications.
How to Apply: In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must select the Vicky Noon Educational Foundation Oxford Scholarships in the University of Oxford Scholarships section of the University’s graduate application form and submit your application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline for your course (8 or 22 January 2016). You must also write a short statement (no more than 200 words) setting out how you intend to contribute to Pakistan on your return, and how your studies in Oxford will help with this, and upload it, together with your graduate application form, by the deadline. Undergraduate students need to complete a separate scholarship application form (will be available from mid-January 2016) and arrange for two references to be submitted on your behalf
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline for Graduate programme is 8 or 22 January 2016, depending on your course and the applications for undergraduate programme will open in mid-January 2016 and close on 19 February 2016.
