ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Have you decided to do your master’s at the University of Twente? Here you will find the general admission requirements. You should also check the specific subject requirements on the individual programme pages.

PREVIOUS EDUCATION

Admission to a University of Twente master’s programme depends upon your previous educational background. Please chosse one of the presented options.

CHOOSE YOUR PREVIOUS EDUCATION

I hold or will aquire a relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) from one of the following educational institutions:
–  University of Twente
–  Dutch university of applied sciences (HBO)
– 
University outside the Netherlands
–  Dutch Research University

FINANCIAL MATTERS

Studying involves various costs including your tuition fees, study expenses (books and materials), rent for your student home and insurance. read everything about costs and financial matters.

Application deadline for International Students:

For most of our master’s programmes there is the opportunity of enrolling either in February or in September. Check the website of the master’s programme of your choice for more information about the starting date(s).

VISA STUDENTS

Students changing the purpose of their stay also need to meet these deadlines. 

1. Deadline completed application with all the required uploads submitted via Osiris

  • Start September: before 1 May
  • Start February: before 1 October

2. Deadline for submission of the Entrance Acceptance Form

  • Start September: before 15 June
  • Start February: before 15 November

3. Deadline for visa application

  • Start September: before 1 July
  • Start February: before 1 December

NON-VISA STUDENTS

1. Deadline completed application with all the required uploads submitted via Osiris

  • Start September: before 1 July
  • Start February: before 1 December

2. Deadline for submission of the Entrance Acceptance Form

  • Start September: before 1 August
  • Start February: before 1 January

SCHOLARSHIPS

Please submit your online application for admission as soon as possible. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, clearly state this to your faculty contact person.

If you are an international student and you intend to apply for a scholarship programme outside the University of Twente and require confirmation of admission in order to apply for a scholarship, you should apply two months before the scholarship program.
