It is essential that candidates read the following information carefully. You will be notified the outcome of your application by the end of June 2016 via the email address you provided on your application form.
 
Eligibility

  •  Candidates are unable to pay to study in the UK. Sufficient evidence of financial need as indicated below must be provided.
  •  Candidates must have already qualified for their degree at the time of application and obtained a First Class Degree or equivalent. They must be available to commence their academic studies by the start of the UK academic year in September 2016.
  •  Candidates must be sufficiently fluent in written and oral English to pursue their studies immediately.
  •  Candidates must be nationals of Pakistan, be permanently resident in Pakistan and living there at the time of application.

You will NOT be eligible for consideration if you have:

  1.  Undertaken studies lasting one year or more in a developed country;
  2.  Undertaken multiple degrees;
  3.  Previously studied in the UK. Expectation of the Successful Candidate The successful candidate will be expected to return to Pakistan for a period of 5 years upon completion of their course.

If scholarship holders do not return home at the end of their award and serve in Pakistan for 5 years, the Scholarship must be paid back in full.
This scholarship is offered for taught Master’s courses, and is tenable for one year only and does not cover undergraduate courses, PhD study, or any pre-sessional English language teaching.
The successful candidate will not be permitted to undertake further study at the University of Strathclyde upon completion of their Masters degree.
Details of Award
Awards will be for one-year taught postgraduate courses. Priority will be given to subjects in the areas of engineering, science, technology and business management or any other subject which cannot be pursued adequately in Pakistan.
For the academic year 2016/2017 one award will be offered. The scholarship will meet the full costs of the candidate’s study in Scotland, including travel to Glasgow and return home, maintenance and other allowances.
No additional allowances will be paid for a spouse or other dependants.

  •  2 Academic References
  •  Wage slip/verified salary information for the month preceding the application date.
  •  Last 3 months Utility Bills for electricity and gas

The University will be the judge of academic calibre and will produce a shortlist of candidates for the approval of the Selection Committee.
