PhD Studentships at Pukyong National University in Korea Molecular Simulation

Two or more positions open (for Master and/or Ph.D students) at the Intelligent Systems Laboratory, Department of Chemical Engineering, Pukyong National University available from March 1st, 2017. The students will be involved in one of my projects regarding the following topics:
1)    Sustainable system design & analysis (e.g., renewable energy production)
2)    In-silico design and characterization of molecules
The projects are supported by Korean governments including Ministry of Education and Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries.
Successful candidates for the positions will have a strong background in chemometrics, molecular simulation (molecular dynamics, quantum mechanics calculations), chemical process simulation, life cycle assessment (LCA), and/or supply chain optimization. In addition, familiarity with commercial/academic software (Simca-P, R, GAMS, MATLAB, Gabi, Open LCA, SimaPro, Aspen Plus/HYSYS, Amber, NAMD, Gromacs, VMD…) would be an advantage. They also will be fluent in English, have good writing and communication skills, and have reasonable laboratory experience. A master/Ph.D student will receive a monthly stipend plus tuition fee. A Qualified candidate with Master degree can start working at ISL as a researcher before March 1st, 2017.
