Multiple Post-doc and Research Professor Positions at INFONET Labs, GIST, South Korea

Applications are invited for multiple post-doc and research professor positions at INFONET labs (http://infonet.gist.ac.kr/ ), School of Information and Communications, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea. The director of the lab, Prof. Heung-No Lee, is awarded with prestigious projects by National Research Foundation of Korea and Samsung Electronics for 5 years starting from May 2015. The goals of the projects include the development of high-resolution compressed sensing approaches for spectroscopy, microscopes, and medical ultrasound systems and deriving innovative analytical tools for compressed sensing-based systems. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who have demonstrated academic excellence, including publications in first-class journals and have the ability to conduct research independently. Candidates who would like to do interdisciplinary research are highly welcome.

Areas of interest include:

Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering
Signal/Image Processing, Information Theory, Optical Imaging,

Preferred qualifications include:

Ph.D. with systems design experience in spectroscopy, microscopy, ultrasound, and other optical imaging systems

Ph.D. in Signal Processing, Information Theory, Mathematics (sparse signal recovery, compressive sensing theory)

The positions and the salary (35K ~ 50K USD) are dependent upon qualifications and experience. The appointment is initially for one-year, which can be renewed up to 5 years based upon performance. The preferred starting date is ASAP but should be no later than June 2015. Applications will be considered until the positions are filled.
