Aston University is inviting applicants to apply for its Global Ambassador Scholarship for aspirants to obtain funds to accomplish their higher and quality education. These scholarships are announced for students willing to study in the UK at Aston University.
The University will be distributing these funds to international students entering the university for any undergraduate or postgraduate degree coursework. The scholarship program recipients will get to attain enough funds to overcome their barriers and pay for their educational expenses to complete their studies.

Aston University is known as a public research university located in the city centre of Birmingham, England. The university began as the Birmingham Municipal Technical School in 1895, evolving into the UK’s first College of Advanced Technology in 1956. The University also has been ranked in the top 30 UK institutions in the 2021 Guardian University Guide.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant go through with the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:
- Open to International students from any country including the EU.
- The scholarship is open for students applying to all undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes (excluding the MBA).
- Postgraduate research students will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship
- Must hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme at the University, which will begin in the Autumn Term commencing September 2021 or the Spring Term beginning January 2022;
- Must be entering into Year 1 of a degree programme at Aston University
- Must meet all of the conditions set out in their offer letter
- Must attain the appropriate IELTS or equivalent English language qualification (if applicable) before commencing their studies at Aston University

The scholarship will be awarded as follows:
- The successful aspirants will be awarded £3,000 to help with tuition fees. The recipeints are required to become a Global Ambassador and represent Aston University flexibly alongside their studies.
- As well as receiving the scholarship, recipient will also be given priority consideration for paid work with the international marketing and recruitment team, which will also provide valuable work experience.
How to Apply for the Scholarship
To get considered for the scholarships, fellows are needed to follow these steps:
Step 1: Apply for the Scholarship
To apply, the eligible student will need to log into your My Aston Portal (MAP) account, where they will find a link to the scholarship application form. Students can find more details on how to access their MAP account can be found in the students’ offer email.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
- High school Diploma Certificate
- School transcripts already available
- Transcripts from prior school (only if requested)
- Post-Secondary Transcription
- Official survey results
- Start / Course Vitae
- Must create a 1 minute video to answer the question – “Why did you choose to study at Aston University?’
- To ensure a fair application process, if your video is longer than 1 minute, they will only consider the first 1 minute of the video.
- Must upload your video to YouTube (or an alternative platform such as Bilibili if YouTube is not available in your country) and submit the link on the ‘Global Ambassador Scholarship application’ page on My Aston Portal (MAP).
Entry Requirements
- Fellows must meet the general country and study curriculum entry requirement.
- Fellows must demonstrate English language skills and meet the general admission criteria following the country/curriculum you studied.
- GCSE Mathematics, English Language and a science at grade C or above are also required; equivalent qualifications are considered. Candidate with non-standard academic backgrounds may be invited for an informal interview by the Admissions Tutor.
Visa Requirements
If students are planning to do any of the following full-time courses at Aston University and are an EU/EEA (Except Irish Nationals) national who did not enter the UK before 31st December 2020 non-EU/EEA overseas national, they will require a Student visa.
